This little page is dedicated to anyone that’s as frustrated as us about undelivered packages. A strange thing for this site to get worked up about? Oh yes. Let us explain:
In the days of online Internet shopping to save time and money, Internet retailers and couriers still have some catching up to do. People work during the hours of 9-5, and couriers deliver from 9-5… Meaning lots of “we tried to deliver, but you were out” cards. Our dream is that one day:
- Companies will stop quoting “delivery within 2-5 days”… we need a little more precision!
- Companies will start telling us when an order has been dispatched, and how it’s being delivered (Royal Mail, Courier, next-day, etc)
- Couriers get flexible. No more “We can’t deliver to your work address. We don’t deliver on Saturdays. You can’t collect from our depot” , and a bit more “yes – we deliver evenings till 9pm, and Saturdays”
- More retailers supporting tracking, and couriers tracking sites that are updated in real-time, not ‘next day’, when it’s all too late.
