Benjamin Waugh

The Rev. BenjaminWaugh , a Victorian social reformer, founded the NSPCC, National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children, in the late 19th century. He also wrote several well known hymns. When he retired in 1905 he moved to 4 Runwell Terrace where he lived until he died in 1906. He has another plaque in Greewich.
