Jubilee tea and treats for Macmillan Cancer Support.
1st June 2012
With the staff at the Bonmarché store in Southend-on-Sea
Bonmarché staff are a jewel in the Macmillan Cancer Support crown.
Staff from the Bonmarché store in Southend-on-Sea will enjoy a classic British pastime by holding a Queen’s Jubilee tea party on 1st June. They’ll be getting out the bunting. Waving the flags and raising money to help Macmillan Cancer Support. Customers can join the festivities and help Macmillan improve the lives of even more people affected by cancer in the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee year.
Employees will be serving refreshments and cakes in the traditional British style and customers can try their luck guessing the weight of the cake or how many sweets are in the jar, amongst other traditional activities. A sparkling crown pin badge is also available at all stores* for a suggested donation of £1 and is a gorgeous addition to any outfit – made all the more special with all the proceeds going to Macmillan. Customers can also go into and store and send a congratulatory message to the Queen by signing a well wishing book that will be in stores from Monday 14th May.
Having raised more than £2.5 million to date, Bonmarché employees in 270 stores are hoping to raise more vital funds this year as they enter their 13th year of supporting the charity.
