April 2008 – Hooters coming to Southend…
US restaurant chain Hooters, known for cladding their waitresses in orange hotpants and low-cut tops, is coming to Southend.
Planning permission has been granted by the council for Hooters to open a restaurant in Southend at the old MVC site, close to Sainsburys and the Odeon on the London Road, just off the Southend High Street.
